About

“Songs In The Key Of New York” is a project led by musicians/educators, guitarist Jeremy Zmuda and Clare Manchon of Clare and the Reasons . They have had extensive experience playing/performing music and educating children here in New York and all around the world. Their debut collaboration on song writing, “Songs In The Key Of New York” is a children’s record for the whole family. The songs are all about New York City, it’s places to see, things to do, and ways to navigate in the city, always putting a fun twist on it and a local approach. Their songs include “Subways All Ways”, “Taxi”, “Bridges and Tunnels”, “Five Boroughs”, just to name a few. The songs not only educate children about the city they live in through catchy “sing-a-long” choruses, but have adults and parents singing and begging for more. Kids all over the world can also learn about New York, a city many hope to visit someday.

In the last few months the four piece band (including Bob Hart and Rich Stein) has performed at NYC’s Folk Art Museum, at an outdoors concert in Prospect Park and in numerous public and private NYC schools. Clare and Jeremy’s record is a one of a kind concept, and the first kid’s music project about New York of it’s kind.
